How we work
 

To ensure that all of our websites are built to the highest quality - within time and in line with your budget - we break all our projects down into a number of manageable stages. 

Each stage is very important as it forms the basis for successive stages.  Testing and attention to detail is applied at each stage, ensuring that the end product is of a high quality and meets the requirements you have outlined from the offset.

Analysis

Before any design or development work begins, we take the time to understand how the website fits into your business requirements.  We will spend time getting to know your business, key stakeholders and your businesses goals.

Functional Brief

Following on from the analysis stage, we will create a functional brief for you to confirm that we have understood your design requirements.  The functional brief will also include a 'wireframe' that will allow you to see the hierarchical structure of your website.

Website Design

Here we create the concept designs for the key pages on your website.  Any changes to the visuals need to be made at this stage.  It is very important to get the designs right, any amendments further on in the project could lead to slippage in your project timeline and additional costs.

Technical Specification

By now we will have an in-depth understanding of how your completed website will look and interact.  Using this information we will create an in-depth technical specification that will be used for the build stage of your website.  You will also be provided with prototypes that will allow you to see how your completed website will look and feel.

Build / Development

This is where we take your ideas and turn them into reality. By now we have spent a lot of time documenting your website and know exactly how it will function. Our team of developers will turn the words and images detailed in the technical specification into a fully functional website.

Testing

This stage is often missed by many companies, even though it is one of the most important stages.  This stage allows us to review the application and make sure it matches the functional design and technical specification.  The testing stage also ensures you receive a high quality product that is robust and works for your business.  We will conduct the following tests:

  • Accessibility testing
  • Cross browser and testing
  • Load / stress testing
  • Functional unit testing
  • User testing

Final Adjustments

We're nearly there. Time now for you to review your website content and functionality prior to it going live.

Deployment

When you're satisfied everything is as it should be, just let us know and we flip the switch.
